The accommodation is split between two beyond beautiful retreats, allowing you to see the best of beautiful Sri Lanka:

Talalla Retreat – Relax into Talalla eco resort for your first 5 nights of beachside accommodation. Intentionally picked for its incredible facilities and training ground which we access directly from our door. Giving you a sense of absolute space and freedom, it’s unspoilt 1km beach is at the bottom of the garden. The 20m freshwater lap pool is sheltered by coconut trees, there are 3 yoga shalas (one overlooking the ocean) and elegantly designed rooms offer outdoor showers combined with polished concrete bathrooms, colonial style 4 poster beds and space to relax. You feel completely immersed in nature as you listen to the Indian ocean from the balcony. There is an ayurvedic spa and organic vegetable garden supplying the restaurant.

98 Acres Resort – This award-winning resort is a hidden sanctuary just outside Ella and will be home for your last 2 nights. Consciously designed to blend in with nature this hidden gem is a serene getaway set within a 98 acre tea estate within the central highlands. Sample delicious healthy local Sri Lankan cuisine and breathe in pure serenity as you watch the sunset over mini adam’s peak. The open yoga shala, stunning spa room and outdoor pool boast breathtaking views over the rolling landscape; you will feel miles from anywhere yet we have a plethora of trails to explore right at our door.

Restore and recover

There will also be time to sunbathe, take a to the beach or just rest as well as daily yoga, assisted stretching and active recovery sessions.

The south coast is made up of palm fringed bays and picturesque coves. Talalla beach is a strong contestant for Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beach; it’s 1km of dazzling shoreline is set against turquoise waters and tropical forest. A true natural paradise.

Ella is a small mountain town in the central highlands. It is 1000m above sea level and famous for stunning hikes and luscious green tea plantations. It has a unique location set amidst the jungle, it has a rich history based around tea and we stay immersed in this beautiful landscape.

    Thank you so much for seriously one of the most inspirational, fun and challenging experiences. Emma and Lottie are a complete credit to their professions. Person centred in their approach pushing individuals to reach goals. We had varied fitness levels on our retreat, but everyone got the consideration they needed. As hard as they train you (which I must add is hard) they top up with a mind body approach which is so helpful to see you through.

We cater for all fitness levels and due to our small group sizes we are able to tailor workouts to a variety of levels. We offer a pre arrival, free consultation to discuss your current fitness level and goals. We can then modify the programme to ensure each of our client’s is working toward their own objectives.
The maximum we have in a group is 8 per trainer. However it is likely that we will split training levels on ability, for certain activities, and so it will be smaller than this.
Yes, our pre arrival assessment will allow us to ensure that each person and their objectives are taken into account and met. We will then hopefully inspire you to push these boundaries.
This does not matter. We work with people at an individual level and can tailor intensity/repetitions etc to ability.
All of our trainers have a level 3 REPS personal training qualification. Our yoga teachers have over 10 years experience. The chef has been cooking in ‘uber luxe’ Verbier chalets also for over 10 years. Overall what sets them apart is their attitude, they are always willing to go the extra mile to help clients. Ultimately each staff member lives and breathes our ethos of motivation, integrity and compassion… making your time here and every workout enjoyable!
The food is exceptional. Fresh, healthy, seasonal ingredients are compiled in a creative way to create light meals that will leave you satiated. We promote a balanced diet so do not ban any particular food group, but can obviously cater to allergies. We offer 3 meals a day, with 2 courses at dinner. You will not go hungry but everything you eat will be extremely nutritious and appetising.
We encourage our clients to listen to their bodies. In some cases we are able to tailor programmes to account for minor injuries but we do insist you fill out a personal medical form prior to arrival so we are aware and consult your doctor if unsure.
Yes, we have active recovery sessions and full recovery sessions. Each day there will be some time off to explore the town, have a massage, sunbathe or read a book. We encourage our clients to participate in all our activities as we have formatted them so they provide a balanced programme. However if you wish to duck out of certain sessions we do allow this (there's just a penalty of an extra 50 burpees the next day.. not! haha)
Running is not compulsory on our camps, although we do encourage everyone to give it a try. We can however offer a hiking group as an alternative.
We cannot accept smoking in our properties but we cannot ban it from our retreat. However we do not encourage it. Caffeinated drinks are available but we advise these to be drank mindfully and not in excess. We do not encourage or offer alcohol, as we would like the retreat to be an opportunity for you to take some time out from your daily routine and focus 100% on your health, fitness and wellbeing.
