The Experience

Join us on an island adventure on the beautiful Isle of Wight this November. Retreat in luxury sea view accommodation and enjoy daily fitness session s,yoga, foodie workshops, delicious nourishing food and explore this beautiful island.

MOVE

YOGA WITH JENNY

Yoga classes on the retreat will be a mix of dynamic flow to energise us and build that inner fire (it will be winter!) along with some lovely relaxation techniques and restorative yoga in the evenings so you can almost float into your beds. Jenny will be working with Evelyn to combine and balance yoga and fitness so you really get the most out of the sessions.  Jenny teaches in a very fun and inclusive manner, so no matter what level you’re at you’ll soon start to see the benefits of the practise over your weekend. Her yoga workshops will be an opportunity to explore different aspects of the practise even further, whether that be inversions or a relaxation technique.

 

FITNESS WITH EVELYN

Sessions include team warm-up games and mobility drills, followed by HIIT style workouts. Each class is designed to suit all levels of fitness, with the ability to tailor each movement, to each individual. A variety of exercises will be undertaken incorporating body weight and resistance training – weather permitting we may also get the tyres out (because flipping is fun!), resulting in a full body workout. Evelyn’s aim is for everyone to finish with a smile on their face and a sense of achievement – knowing that they have worked hard, got fitter in the process, but most of all had fun with a supportive group!

 

EXPLORE THE GREAT OUTDOORS

There will be opportunities to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and beaches on the Isle of Wight. Bring your walking boots and wellies!Activities may include horse riding, guided walks or runs, outdoor fitness sessions and the opportunity to bring out the adventurer in you.

Nourish

We believe in the importance of nourishing our bodies with healthy and whole foods –preparing our bodies for exercise and supporting recovery and repair post-exercise!

Jenny and Evelyn both love to experiment in the kitchen and count brunch as their favourite meal of the day. They are both very excited to share their most popular recipes over the weekend (including smoothie bowls, banana bread, energy balls, overnight oats, avocado toast and pancakes…).

Over the weekend, guests will be treated to balanced and nutritious food, showcasing seasonal Isle of Wight produce. Guests will enjoy pre-workout smoothies and have access to an array of healthy snacks during the daytime. Good food should be shared, and therefore meal times will provide guests the opportunity to get to know one another and dine in a relaxed environment. The foodie workshop will provide guests with the opportunity to learn how to make some of Jenny and Evelyn’s alternative healthy goodies – providing delicious snacks for the chilled film night in the comfort of the cosy snug!

Please let us know of any dietary requirements (dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be provided throughout the retreat).

Stay

Located just 1 mile from the pretty harbour town of Yarmouth, this incredible converted light filled barn sits on a hill with breathtaking sea views, stretching from the Needles to HurstCastle. The property has an exceptionally large garden with access to footpaths across the surrounding land.

The barn has a huge living space incorporating the kitchen, dining room and what will be our fitness space with glass windows wrapping around the barn you are treated to spectacular views. There is also a living room for our film nights and generally relaxing in, plus lots of other chill-out zones to discover around the house.

Sleeps 12 people in 6 en-suite bedrooms (which can either be double or twin rooms) and there are spectacular views from almost every window. There are 4 en-suite bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. Bed linen, Towels and Toiletries are all provided along with lots of extra treats to really add to the luxury feel.

    I have so enjoyed my introduction to Yoga and as a complete beginner have felt so comfortable and relaxed in your classes. I have thoroughly enjoyed that I’ve been having time to unwind and working my body a bit more. Thank you Jenny so much for the finishing touches that you bring to the class, tea, coconut water and head massage have made the whole experience so enjoyable.

This time it's open to both Guys and Girls
You will need to book your ferry in advance. We would advise coming as a foot passenger on the Lymington - Yarmouth Ferry. It takes just 35 minutes and we can pick you up at Yarmouth Harbour. We would suggest getting the 4pm Ferry on the Friday evening. You can book your ferry here: http://www.wightlink.co.uk You can train from Waterloo to Lymington in just over 2 hours or drive and leave your car at Lymington ferry terminal and foot passenger over. Cars are also welcome and there is plenty of parking space at the venue.

Yes, all room prices are based on sharing a twin or double room all are ensuite.
The wonderful Jen and Eve. Both relatively new ‘Islanders’, bonded through sharing their seemingly ‘polar’ practices – yoga and strength training (as well as their love of brunch!); early on they realised the benefits that each practice could deliver and how they in fact complemented each other. Jenny has been practising yoga for over 10 years and is a qualified +200 hr Yoga Alliance teacher with experience in hatha, vinyasa and hot yoga. Jenny believes that yoga adds a little bit of magic to your life and as part of a balanced lifestyle yoga can contribute to you living well and being happy. Evelyn is CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, 1-2-1, and group fitness coach. She loves to lift weights and challenge her body in new ways. She is known for her love of fancy legging (the brighter the better), and porridge (it’s all about the toppings!).
